Assigned by the travel agency to handle specific commercial accounts. Booking travel reservations for the business traveler, maintain database on each company in the computer to include preferences on seating, meals, hotels and car rentals.

Home-Based Agent
Travel agent working at home, usually with a niche travel specialty or some "gimmick" to stand out from other agencies.

International Travel Agent
Deal primarily with international travel. May put together F.I.T. (Foreign Independent Travel) packages or utilize those of your preferred tour supplier. Have great knowledge of the world, customs, currency, health concerns and other needs of international travelers.

Meeting Planner
Puts together meetings, conventions, seminars for corporations. Can work independently or with a meeting service, or with a convention bureau or hotel.

Incentive Travel Planner
Aids corporations in planning travel as a motivator. Can handle all aspects including goal setting and measurement or only handle the travel plans.
