	Are All Ships And Cruises Fairly Similar?
Far from it. Ships range from under 200 feet to over 1,000 feet. You can sail with as few as 100 fellow passengers to over 3,600, experience atmospheres ranging from casual to formal, classically simple to ultra-deluxe. You can even choose between traditional propeller-driven craft and sail-assisted cruise ships.

Cruise lines are undergoing multiple changes. Some new lines are on the scene and others are going out of business. At press time Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) was comprised of 20 lines working in affiliation with over 17,000 professional travel agencies in North America.

There are also specialty cruises that include just one type of ship or one type of vacation such as Windjammer Barefoot cruises or the Delta Queen Steamboat Company.
