What are classes like?
Fort Lewis College courses offered through TravelCampus are designed to teach you in a classroom learning environment without compromising your freedom and flexibility to learn when it is convenient for you by using an asynchronous classroom. This means that as a student you may access the classroom when you are ready, study for as long as you have time, day or night.

What type of career does TravelCampus prepare me for?
Graduates of TravelCampus are trained and prepared to begin or expand their careers in the exciting and growing travel and tourism industry. This includes working as a travel agent, for airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators and as an independent travel agent in your own home or office. Access to the TravelCampus Job Board is available to all students.

Do I need any special computer equipment or software to take these classes?
Unless otherwise noted in a course description, the only requirement for our courses are internet access, email, and a web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Safari or Mozilla Firefox).

How will I find a job when I graduate?
The ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) job board brings together our qualified Travel Campus students with eager employers. Go to http://www.HotTravelJobs.com/ASTA to access the following services which are provided at no cost to you: upload your resume and easily execute a customized job search based on the category, location, salary and type of position you desire. You will have the option to receive email alerts when new jobs are posted. When you have secured a job, simply deactivate your resume so it is no longer viewable. Questions? How will my questions be answered?
Individual or specific questions may be sent to our qualified instructors at any point during your training with TravelCampus. To ask, simply click the Email Instructor button on the top toolbar of the TravelCampus classroom, write your question and send the email message. Your instructor will respond within 24 hours during normal business days.

Can I work from home?
Yes! Many travel agencies employ Outside Sales Agents who work their own hours and create their own clientele. Independent travel sales contractors partner with a provider and receive commissions while operating their own travel sales business from their own home.
