The tight labor market and a decline in travel school graduates have created a shortage of qualified applicants. Now, you can select and hire your own employees and let TravelCampus train them. TravelCampus' parent company, Education Systems, is a member of ASTA and our curriculum will provide your employees with a comprehensive current industry specific training program. New employees will benefit from several courses designed to effectively teach the necessary basics in becoming a travel professional. Courses cover travel sales, travel reservations, faring and ticketing, CRS training (Sabre®), leisure travel, tours and cruises. TravelCampus courses can also be used to improve the skills of your existing staff. Upcoming courses like Vacation Packages and Tours and our Cruise course will help improve any travel professionals skills. Special, subscription rates are available to businesses and travel professionals. These rates will give you and your staff unlimited access to the TravelCampus suite of courses for a low monthly rate. Pricing varies based on the number of users or employees you have accessing the TravelCampus program. Course Options TravelCampus courses already developed and online, are available for your students to enroll in. TravelCampus will provide the course administrator/instructor. You can develop your own courses and put them online on our campus. Implementation Options TravelCampus online courses can be used to supplement regularly scheduled classroom instruction. Instruction can be structured to combine limited student contact time with majority of content delivered via online classroom. Course can be delivered online with exams taken in exam lab or classroom. Complete courses, including exams, can be entirely internet delivered. Course Design Learning/Performance Objectives Objectives specify knowledge and skills students will gain as they successfully complete each course. Instruction Each lesson is presented in a format that is easy to read in an internet environment. Instruction is provided through each lesson guiding students to exercises, reviews and exams. An online book is available for printing for study offline. Challenges These challenges are additional, off-line work to provide students with industry insight, taking them away from the computer and providing practical application. STOP, Review and Apply Quizzes at the end of each lesson help students relate what they have learned to the workplace, review their progress and begin to apply what they have learned. Discussion Questions Questions are posted by the course administrator/instructor and are accessed by all students thus giving students the opportunity to interact, online with other students and course administrator/instructors. Exams Students new skills are evaluated in the secure exam lab. The student may only access each exam one time. Exams may be rendered inaccessible so they can be administered in a traditional exam lab. Glossary A glossary is available with each course that provides industry specific terms and definitions. Course Administrator/Instructor Email The course administrator/instructor determines the speed of response. If TravelCampus provides the course administrator/instructor, students can expect a response to their questions within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. Certificate For a processing fee of $15, TravelCampus will issue a certificate of completion to each student completing courses for a specific career with an average of 80% or better. Travel Industry Mentors Education Systems, a leader in travel and tourism education, is looking for qualified travel professionals to serve as industry mentors to our students entering this exciting career path. The students participating in our web-based training program, TravelCampus, live and work around the world. They are motivated to succeed and excited about the future of the travel industry. These students are preparing to begin careers as travel professionals for travel agencies, tour companies, airlines, hotels and as independent agents. As future industry members facing many changes and obstacles they need access to working travel professionals who are willing to share their knowledge and skills. We encourage you to help our industry by providing your insight and expertise with these students and become a TravelCampus mentor. Qualified mentors will: Have a willingness to answer student questions regarding the travel industry via email or phone. Be an advocate of travel schools.
