Book and Ticket Amtrak in 7 Easy Steps

  1. Determine the city code or closest station (Entry and response give codes needed for Step 2).

  2. Determine fare (Entry and response give fare display).

  3. Check availability.

  4. Sell from availability display.

  5. Price the Passenger Name Record (PNR).

  6. Complete the Passenger Name Record. (This can contain only Amtrak segments or can contain air and Amtrak segments.)

  7. Ticket.
