COURSE TITLE:

Introduction to the BSP System and BSP Language

MODULE OBJECTIVE:

This module is important for working travel professionals who sell passenger airline travel through the IATA Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) or for students planning a career in travel.

The objective of this module is to make learners familiar with the BSP system, BSP processes and common BSP language. This module will explain what the BSP is, how it works and the benefits of the BSP for a travel agency.

Note: Parts of this course are based on live web page interaction and the internet speed may affect the scrolling from screen to screen.

The letter of attestation will only be printed in the name of the person who logs-in. There is a pass grade of 80% for Lesson 6 review questions. If you do not receive at least 80% you will have to purchase the Module again in order to retake the Module and exam.

OUTCOMES:

By completing this module you will be able to:

  • List the benefits of being an accredited BSP travel agency
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of the BSP participants
  • Describe the BSP process
  • Identify the steps in reporting sales through the BSP
  • Name, locate and use resources with information on BSP

COURSE OUTLINE:

There are 6 lessons in this training module. Each lesson ends with a summary of Key Learning Points. Study Check questions are included in all but Lesson 5. The Module ends with a set of online review questions to assess your learning. Students who enroll, complete this online module and receive a review question score of 80% or higher will receive an Introduction to the BSP System and BSP Language module completion letter.
